I'm not one who really knows much about electricity and stuff. At least, most of the newer smart phones.) (Most phones should probably port at the same voltage. ![]() So I would be hesitant to attempt it till you/we get an answer or find it. However, the better question is, is your phone able to supply not the correct amount of power, but does it have the compatible power feed (volts) to it? Otherwise, it'll short out. The drive would run off the device it connects into. Direct answer would be no, because there is no way to do that (add a power supply into the external drive). That's actually a good question, in a way. Do we need to install any app to xfer the files back and forth? no external power source needed? ![]()
